2012 Global Career Forum

(Seoul, Korea) The Global Career Forum of 2012 was held on February 9th at the Korean Chamber of Commerce building and was organized under the umbrella of InterCham, the common body of the diverse chambers of commerce in Korea. Over 700 people attended the successful 4th annual event.

The forum was designed to provide students and professionals with an insight into the Career Prospects in International Business and was well attended by the largest gathering to date. The forum was divided into two sessions, with opening remarks by PJ Rogers, Managing Director of EWC Consulting, Simon Bureau, CEO of Vectis Corporation Inc., Dong-Geun Lee, Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a keynote speech by Yong-Ah Kim, Principal of McKinsey & Company.

Steve McKinney, President of McKinney Consulting spoke and moderated the panel session on “Globalization and Your Career Development”. Simon Bureau, CEO of Vectis Corporation Inc. spoke and moderated the second  panel discussion on “What Are Global Companies Looking For In New Recruits?”

These sessions included presentations, discussion and Q&A by a high caliber forum of professionals, including Willy Linssen, CEO of Heartware Group; Betty Chung, Professor of KAIST; Rob Edwards, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea and Daniel Mayran, Chairman of the Seoul Luxury Business Institute. Also Eun-Joo Chae, Senior Client Partner, Korn/Ferry International; Parth Sharma, Vice Chairman of Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea; Kimihiro Itoki, President and CEO of Sony Korea.
