Rodney J. Johnson Speaks on Security on the Korean Peninsula

Presentation at McKinney Senior Leaders Workshop addresses the risks that companies in South Korea face from North Korea.

Prescient Consulting President, Rodney J. Johnson, spoke at the invitation-only McKinney Senior Leaders Workshop on January 13, 2011.  The presentation, held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, was attended by 40 senior personnel from companies and organizations with operations in South Korea.

The topic of mitigating the effects of a full and open conflict between South and North Korea was a popular one, coming soon after North Korea’s attack on Yeongpyeong Island in late November 2010. 

Mr. Johnson stated, “The keys to making your company safer is to minimize the risk that is not so easy to see. That means minimizing the risk that comes from lack of planning, lack of training, and lack of practice. It takes a thorough understanding of the threat and the necessary action to minimize it before a plan becomes part of the company’s culture. Only when a plan becomes instinct will it become as effective as it can be and that only happens through regular practice.”
