Seoul, Korea -- January 24, 2004 -- The Korea Foreign Schools Foundation (KFSF) is a recently created non-profit organization was created by the Ministry of Commerce for the building of more International schools in Korea. McKinney Consulting, Inc., the leading executive search and hr solutions company serving multinationals in Korea announces that Founder and President Steven B. McKinney has been elected Director and Board Member of the newly created KFSF. In this role Mr. McKinney will represent the interests of the American Chamber of Commerce-Korea Board.

KFSF has been created by the Ministry of Commerce to build International Schools (K-12) to aide in attracting foreign investment in Korea.  For years foreigners have complained that there are not enough high quality schools to accommodate the children of their executives to move to Korea along with their investments. Also serving on this board is the office of the Mayor of Seoul, Invest Korea, the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and other organizations and schools are being considered.

The Korea Foreign Schools Foundation is a unique non-profit organization that is truly one of a kind.  This is the first organization in Korea's history where the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry, foreign chambers of commerce, Korean and international business groups, and local and national government agencies have collaborated on a project that aids foreign direct investment into Korea.  The Foundation’s board is comprised of elected leaders from their respective organizations that in turn represent the international community here in Korea.  The Korean government acknowledges the importance of education and foreign direct investment, and is committed to creating one of the best international schools in Asia through the leadership of the Foundation.
